One variation is that we have in our room and it includes our daily devotion and prayer. We call it "tuck in time" because my wife goes to bed much earlier than me. I would typically finish dinner, get the kids down for bed and then stay up light on the computer all night working on freelance projects. So, in our case, we have couch time immediately after our kids have been put to bed – that way it happens no matter what. My wife and started couch time a about a year or so ago.
