Don’t say “Oh my goodness, my kids are growing up so fast. Pretty soon there going to be grown and out of the house!”
Rather, ask “How can I experience joy with my child today?”
or
“How could I , today, make it more likely that my child will glorify God in the future?”
We recommend picnics or reading to them (for the first) and helping them create something (for the second).
